Songs & Stories

Some stories stay with us quietly.
In a memory, a feeling, a moment we still carry.
Sometimes, they find their way into a song.

原來

Mandarin. 2026

Like a Quiet Star

This song is for my father.

I've always known that he loved me, though his love was rarely expressed in words. It lived in small gestures, quiet moments of care, and the little things I didn't always notice.

Some love wears a different disguise.

Today, I can see and receive that love more fully. This song is my way of saying thank you.

And I know his love will always stay with me, like a quiet star shining in the night sky.

Mandarin. 2026

Originally written for my mother, *Beyond the Gate* became a reflection on the love and longing shared by those who have made a home far away.

Inspired by a farewell at a train station in Hong Kong, the song remembers the tenderness in my mother's eyes — her reluctance to say goodbye, yet her gentle smile as she watched me leave.

A song about love, distance, and the invisible threads that keep us connected. No matter how far we go, some love stays with us, quietly reminding us of what home truly means.

Mandarin. 2026

Clay is a song inspired by the Heart Sutra, reflecting a small part of my personal journey.

Over the years, I've taken on different roles, each shaping how I see myself and the world. This song captures a personal reflection on identity, change, and the freedom to embrace new possibilities.

And for this little creation, I invited my cat, Twinkle, to accompany me on guitar.
